About the Wise Foundation, another year on

THANK YOU - With your support, funds raised through the stallholder fees has gone toward projects to help marginalised people and communities become economically independent through business. Projects such as:

Bizness Babes - a national program that provides free business training to mums and marginalised women tho otherwise might not get the chance. So far over 300 mums have benefited from the program. Mums such as Pam from Greensaks, Jenny from Ohjoh, Kylie from Creative Boutique, Tania from The Art Nest, Janelle from the Concierge Desk, Yasmin from Balanced Heart, Justine from Mizedtape and Kylie from Livee Lillee. From our lovely mums, THANK YOU.

Bleeding Heart Café and Gallery - THANK YOU, with your support, this initiative currently in Brisbane (with plans to open soon in Melbourne) assists in the development of micro businesses for indigenous and marginalised communities and people.

Children on the Edge in East Timor - provides a safe and friendly child centre and play scheme for young orphans and children affected by the troubles in the area. THANK YOU, with your support, staff from the Wise Foundation and volunteers from The Body Shop regularly visit to monitor and help provide hands on support to the staff and local community.

South Pacific Business Development Foundation - THANK YOU, with your support, a small group of dedicated people, have begun to work with women from poor villages in Samoa and Tonga to assist them to start their own micro business.

Community Support - THANK YOU, with your support the Foundation has been able to assist communities affected by fire in the Yarra Ranges and Murrindindi Region.

Mulgrave Farmers Market - THANK YOU, with your support the market has provided a regular weekly venue to over 148 stallholders so that they may sell their produce to and provide a regular and reliable means to make a decent living.
